Relaxed Breath Training: Makarasana and Sandbag variations

Relaxed Breath Training is meant to help your nervous system to remember how to relax, because we are focusing on diaphragmatic breathing – stimulating Vagus nerve to communicate to the brain that all is well in the vital body (viscera), and we  can relax…  Perfect start to any practice:

HOMEWORK:

Try both variations.

Note the differences between them and how you feel afterwards.

Do 1 variation at the start of any asana practice or just as a “yoga snack” mid-day to reset your nervous system – 5 minutes is enough to make a difference!
