If we want to change the way we FEEL, we have to change the ENERGY we contain.
CHAKRAS are the basic tenet of TANTRA (science of energy management) – wheels of energy along the spine, they are like dams along a river – holding the positive qualities when contained and maintained, and leaking those qualities when ignored.
So, the basics of chakra balancing is, again: ATTENTION. Bring awareness to them, and they will hold.

Read the CHAKRAS document
Reflect on positive and negative qualities of each chakra.
Do you feel you have an imbalance in one or multiple chakras?
Try a recommended technique to balance that particular chakra.
