DEGENERATION
This program empowers Healer within by providing practical insight into the system, science, metaphysics and interconnectedness of yoga, ayurveda, life force energy and dharma as holistic approach to healing the Whole Person: body, mind and soul.
Methodologies included in CHILD of PRANA explain the science behind what we do, while leaving room for mystery, because some things can simply not be explained, as there is knowledge much greater than our own.
Add-on 1:1 modules are available for personal adaptation of CHILD of PRANA material to the needs and circumstances of each individual. In this way, participation in CHILD of PRANA program becomes a beautiful journey of reconnaissance with oneself, designed to support your life in the way that is most appropriate for you.
The core premise of CHILD of PRANA Method is:
PRANA (=all pervasive life force) is what animates, enables, and, ultimately, shapes us. Known as ENERGY, this most mystical reality has the least literature written about it, yet it is the most powerful tool in all of yoga when it comes to shaping our reality. And it is most available to us through the breath. Therefore, YOU ARE AS YOU BREATHE.
In the CHILD OF PRANA Method we explore the hidden power of yoga thorough study of PRANA within the very real context of personal practice.
We look at role of Prana in shaping reality, it’s relationship to body and mind, it’s subsets, channels and pools in human body and how to access them through asana, pranayama, and meditation.
We utilize principles of AYURVEDA – world’s oldest known healing tradition – to gain access to energy we need through lifestyle, diet, movement and meditation.
With methodology of breath diagnostics we learn how to determine current pranic deficiencies and how to balance them in the body via
– asana (posture)
– pranayama (control of vital life force through breathing)
– bandha (energy lock)
– mudra (energy seal) and
– kriya (visualization).
For success in working with prana the body has to be healthy – we spend considerable time on asana preparation for pranayama.
Various techniques (besides classical Hatha yoga) of Pranic Healing are presented – such as Reiki, Qi Gong, mantra, kriya, music.
The role of prana in meditation is emphasized throughout the program, and mind-body-breath connection observed, analyzed, secured and refined.
Finally, the work with Body, Mind, Breath is contained, like books on a shelf, between Mindset (Dharma) and daily Personal Practice in support of your Purpose (Sadhana).
We master the art of Practicing your Purpose. This leads to

Man=mind
tra=protect
Mantra protects the mind. Gayatri protects the mind by power of light.
Relaxed Breath Training is meant to help your nervous system remember how to relax, because we are focusing on diaphragmatic breathing – stimulating Vagus nerve to communicate to the brain that all is well in the vital body (viscera), and we can relax… Perfect start to any practice
This practice creates awareness around the core (of our body vessel), gently strengthening it, while maintaining its supple qualities: smooth, deep, even, relaxed (breath, of course). Great daily maintenance for any day.

3 Adaptations of Relaxed Breath Training for 3 Ayurvedic Types: Vata, Pitta, Kapha.
Introduction to VAYUS = pranic winds. This is a story from Vedic lore about Vayu – Lord of the Wind, to illustrate the importance of Breath and what it carries in the yogic work of Energy Management.
Upon entering our body Prana splits into 5 major sub currents, which yogis manage with asana, pranayama, meditation, and mudra.
APANA facilitates relaxation, letting go, cooling off and grounding. It balances elements of Space and Air with it’s grounding effect, removes toxins (physical and mental), and is generally purifying, cooling, grounding energy that reduces inflammation greatly, balancing most of it’s fiery upward moving qualities.
Apana Vayu is sub-dosha of Vata Dosha
Cultivation of Pure Apana in practice – EXHALE KRAMA, forward bends, PAUSE (sunya).
Calm, ground, quiet down, drop in.
Infographic listing Kapha’s qualities, powers, imbalances and management strategies.
ROOT chakra (pelvic girdle, legs, feet) – strengthening it with subtle work of contracting and releasing on the breath. grounding the mind and senses, and bringing forth a sense of calm, stability and security.
HIPS – exploring range of movement to access
APANA vayu, without “falling asleep”, using big movement and lower body lateral stretches to also increase VYANA for circulation and nourishment.

Brahmana (activating) long holds – we can get uplifted without loosing our ground. Strong holds with focus on moderate core twisting (=balance) and backbends.
Principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and hot to eat right for your type
Lateral twisting category increases Vyana Vayu (circulation, nourishment = brahmana), but because we are also working in the lower body area leading up to seated Pigeon (Kapotasana) variation – we are staying connected to our root system (Apana Vayu).
Thoracic (upper back) and Cervical (neck) twisting for expanded respiratory function, as well as strengthening the heart and core with both support and challenge from a prop: 6' staff.
Live Satsang & practice (at 3 min): introduction to Pole technique to

Summary of Ayurvedic nutrition to support our practice with diet of "eating right for your type"
How to get Prana through asana: strong, stable, expansive backbends and laterals. Laterals are preparation for backbends (!)

Luxurious, relaxing, cooling and very soothing lower body stretching.
TENSION is a problem of ATTENTION: either there is too much of it, or not enough of it. We assess and remediate by deep listening to energy body and feeling for discontinuity of sensation in the body, then work asymmetrically to restore balance of equal feeling everywhere (tensegrity)
FEEL, SEAL, HEAL.
Self-diagnosis technique to help you determine which vayu is low, so you can balance it with appropriate nutrition, asana, pranayama, meditation

An energetic restorative tune-up: brings awareness to the chakra system, BALANCING the chakras.
Because Mind and Energy are like 2 fish - they always swim together, to calm our nervous system down, we use imagery, visualization, imagination to engage the mind with the energy that calms us down and activates Rest & Digest response.
Tibetan Color Purification Kriya
